Use silent modes on your Samsung smart watch

Use silent modes on your Samsung smart watch

To make sure you're always on track, you set all kinds of reminders on your watch. But sometimes they can be more distracting than helpful. If you are somewhere where alerts (excluding Alarms) need to be silenced, like the library or a movie theater, you can temporarily disable them with silent modes. You can also turn them off when it's time to go to sleep.

Note: Available screens and settings may vary by wireless service provider, software version, phone, or watch.

Turn on Do not disturb mode using your watch

When Do not disturb is turned on, all notifications are turned off, except Alarms.

    1. To turn on Do not disturb mode, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick settings panel.

    2. Next, tap the Do not disturb icon.

    3. Depending on your watch, you can choose when you want the mode to activate.

Note: On the Galaxy Watch4 series, you can only turn Do not disturb on or off. There are no modes to choose from.

On earlier Galaxy Watch models, you can also press the Power key, and then navigate to and tap Settings. Swipe to and tap Advanced. For a Gear Fit2 Pro, tap Device. Now, swipe to and tap Do not disturb, and then tap the switch next to Turn on now.

Note: On the Galaxy Watch4 series, Do not disturb is only available in the Quick settings panel. There is no menu navigation for it.
